Crock Pot Chicken Parmesan
Ingredients:
- 2-4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut in half
- 1/2 cup italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 egg, beaten
- mozzarella cheese, sliced or shredded
- favourite jar of pasta or marinara sauce
Directions:
- Spread the olive oil into the bottom of the crock pot
- Beat the egg with a fork in a separate bowl
- Mix the bread crumbs with the seasonings and the parmesan cheese in another separate dish
- Dip the chicken into the egg, then into the bread crumb mixture coating both sides
- Place chicken into the bottom of crock pot
- Layer 2-3 slices on each piece of chicken or sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella cheese on top of the chicken, depending on how much cheese you prefer
- Pour entire jar of marinara/pasta sauce over top of the chicken and cheese
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours
- Serve with your favourite pasta
